Released every year on Columbus Day, the Edizione Pennino Zinfandel pays homage to Francis’s maternal grandfather, Francesco Pennino. The label design replicates the logo of his music-publishing firm, which translates to “Pennino Editions.” The diamond on the left side depicts the Bay of Naples, Francesco Pennino’s former home and his last view of Italy. The diamond on the right side is a view of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty, his first glimpse of America, his new home.
This Zinfandel is always a harmonious expression of rich, succulent fruit and varietal spice.
